Nick speaking,
Pictures of my finished interchangeable Necron Annihilation/Command Barges. In the end I had too many pictures for one post, so here are the Annihilation Barge pictures first. Just for reference, I painted the main guns as if they had green rods in them to try and match them up to the rest of my army. I also magnetised the main Tesla gun in addition the the other stuff as in my original tutorial. I just found it was easier to take the gun off that way rather than if it was glued onto the base section. It also gave me an opportunity to angle the gun for more dynamic poses. Hope you like them...

the annalation . It's large wepon is tesla and run on eletricy usally represented by blue yellw and somtimes white but never green
ReplyDeleteReally! I wonder why Games Workshop represented it in the Codex as black and green then? Actually, I can't see where it says anything about electricity, it is only described as "lightning" and the word "emerald" is in the Codex when talking about Tesla as well!
ReplyDeleteEither way, never say never, cuz MY Necron Tesla is Green, as I wanted it to match the rest of the green rods in the army. Any other colour would just look out of place, in my eyes.
Looking pretty awesome!
ReplyDeleteI really like how the green contrasts with the silver.
I think they suitably mechanical. Most of the time you see them (the vehicles) painted black with some metal areas included in there. The all metal vehicle seems a bit more imposing in some ways. Almost like it's not a vehicle and more like some kind of construct or machine... not so much a flyer.
ReplyDeleteNice job on these guys,
Ron, FTW
Cheers buddy, I had these on the battlefield last night, they really matched the rest of the army nicely. A very nice unit for the points too!
ReplyDeleteThanks Ron, it was really nice to have some new Necron minis to paint up after such a long time of nothing :-)
