Right, that's the fist five out of my twenty old metal Wulfen models stripped and converted. I still have to take them off the bases but apart from that they are ready for painting. I am really loving how these wolfies look and I can't wait to get started!

The Year of the Wolf (29) Wulfen Time!

Right, back to the Space Wolves, and as my Wolf army is the 13th Company, I am sure you can imagine how happy I am that the Wulfen are back! At one point I was going to use my 23 old school Wulfen models as Blood Claws, but not any more. First though, I need to do some conversion work. I have some experience cutting up these old metal models, as I use to play some of them as my Mark of Wulfen pack leaders for my Grey Slayers.

Geigor Fell Hand Conversion Finished

That's the Space Wolves 13th Company Geigor conversion complete. In the end, I decided to magnetise his head to give me both options, a Chaos head for when I use the model in 40k and the actual Geigor head for 30k games. The sword conversion ended up going really well. Turning that metal left handed sword into a right hand one was very tricky, but it came out well and was well worth the effort. Hopefully Abaddon won't be too upset that this guy has stolen his sword!

Geigor Fell Hand Conversion WIP

Like most people, I own a couple of Burning of Prospero Geiger models. Mine were given to me by my fellow Legion of Gamza members, Frost and Fists and cruorangelussilicis, so a massive thanks and shout out to them and their YouTube Channels. I started off building one of the models as a standard Geigor Fell Hand, the other one though, I will convert into a 40k 13th company character for my Space Wolves army.

The inspiration to do the conversion was from another YouTube friend of mine, Sam from Emperor's Path, so please also check out his Channel here. I started my conversion exchanging his right leg with a Chaos leg I had and repositioning the model to stand on that leg instead of his left leg. I also repositioned the claw arm and gave him a standard shoulder pad, leaving me room to free hand in my 13th Company symbol. Finally, I made an extra dead wolf to put on his back pack, just for PETA!

All I have to do now is decide on a head and complete his right arm! I have a plan to use Abbadon's sword, I think it will look so cool and it will fit in with my theme very well. Sadly the sword I have is metal and has a left hand on it. I will attempt to cut out the hand and pin the two sword ends onto a different arm/hand. More to come when that is complete...

Iron Priest Thunderwolf for Wolf-Brother Methos (part 3)

I have now finished the conversion on the Iron Priest for Methos from Frost and Fists. From the last time you saw him I have completed the final details, including a green stuff bionic eye and wolf head on the replacement servo army. I also added a few bits from my bitz box to the backpack and added some guitar wire for the cabling. The Thunderwolf and base have been stripped and I have reposed it slightly. I am very happy with him and can't wait to paint him up for Methos

Iron Priest Thunderwolf for Wolf-Brother Methos (part 2)

Ok, so continuing on with the Iron Priest that Methos sent me from Frost and Fists to paint and convert. Well, I have had a bit of a disaster. I won't go into to many details, but basically I left the Finecast model in my Biostrip20 paint stripper for too long and the model is ruined! It went all spongy and just fell apart in my fingers! Another reason to hate Finecast, but now I had a problem on my hands that I needed to solve!

This is the original model that Methos sent to me and how it ended up looking! Of course, I wasn't going to leave it at that, so I went about scratch building the model back the best I could, maybe make it even better that the original one!

This is where I have got to so far, I have magnetised both weapons so that Methos can have the Boltgun or Hellfrost Pistol and both the Hammer options. I still have some work to do, including the back pack and servo arm, but I think he is looking pretty good so far...

The Year of the Wolf (17)

Right, straight on to the next project for my 13th Company Space Wolves, and this time I have picked out my two Rune Priests to paint. I did the conversions on these guys a long time ago, adding in some Chaos armoured parts and switching an axe to make them look a little different...

To add to them a little more, I have now gone in and sorted out some 32mm bases for them to stand on and drilled out the gun barrels which I didn't do all those years ago. I also cut off the rock on one of their feet to mix them up a little. Now they are ready for painting...

The Year of the Wolf (11)

The next unit to be painted in my 13th Company Space Wolves army, also needed a few extra conversions from what I did when I built them, ten years ago. This unit started life off as Storm Claws (Blood Claws) in the Eye of Terror Codex, but I am now thinking that I want to use my out of production Wulven minis as Blood Claws, and make this unit Grey Hunters!

First I took off the Plasma Pistols and magnetised two Melta/Plasma Guns. I also magnetised the Power Fist I had on one of the minis to give me options when I play the unit. I also had to make my own Combi Melta/Plasma Guns for my Wolf Guard Pack Leader as I had no guns left in my bitz box. Here is a closer look at the minis and work I have done, now to get them painted...
