Eldar War Walkers Showcase

Finally finished the War Walkers, it did take me quite some time, but I think that was mainly due to me painting every weapon option they can take. Still, the magnetised weapons will make them very future proof, which is great. Let me know what you think in the comments box below...

The War Walkers are progressing nicely, since the last update I have washed the purple and gone back over it leaving the wash in the recesses. I have also applied the first of my three highlights to it. The base coats of the Gemstones have all been laid down too, yes, all one hundred and sixty two of them! More to come soon...

More work on the War Walkers done, that's the Lich Purple and Black layers complete, I took my time once again making sure I didn't get any paint on the white sections. Next, to wash and highlight the the purple and lay down all the gem stones...

Slowly but surely getting paint on the War Walkers. That's the base coats done, I can't tell you how tough it was to paint behind the Guardians without getting paint on there white armour. Still, I did managed to do it. Now to do it all over again with Liche Purple!

Eldar War Walkers #1

Time for another change from the Wolves and paint up some more Eldar. Next on the desk then are my three War Walkers. As usual, I have magnetised them up with all the weapon options using a pin and magnet method. I suspect the weapons will take me longer to paint than the Walkers themselves, but it will be worth it in the end...

Eldar Wasp Assault Walker Announced

More Forge Wold Eldar announced, and it's a Troops choice that can move 24" and assault!

ELDAR WASP ASSAULT WALKER 

Commonly found amongst the raiding forces of the Eldar Corsairs, the Eldar Wasp Assault Walker confers additional protection and manoeuvrability to the pilot. Jump jets are added to the sturdy War Walker chassis to bolster this already potent weapons platform with deceptively swift movement.

Experimental rules for the Wasp Assault Walker can be found here. This model is available to pre-order now and will be despatched week commencing the 28th of February.

This new model doesn't really look that different from the normal War Walker, it has a bigger cockpit and some Forge World star engine bits added to the back, but that's about it. I am sure my normal Walkers will be delighted to come out of the case and stand in as Wasp Walkers!
