So whilst I get my necrons together that I showed you in the last post, I have a little commission piece I need to get done. A very cool looking Ork Pirate in the form of Kaptin Badrukk! What an awesome model he is and the one I have to paint is a metal classic, this guy weighs a ton!
I have always enjoyed the Ork models I have painted so far and I know this one will be alot of fun to paint. I managed to build him ready for priming and here is a quick snap of him all built waiting to go onto the painting table...

The Battle of Scrag (Dark Eldar Vs Orks)
Five missions. One secret!
Somewhere in the depths of space and in the grim dark future there is a small planet called Scrag. A recent battle on the planet’s surface between Craftword IDIC and the Astra Millitarum saw total devastation in the city. The purple tanks of the Eldar wiped out every single guardsman on the planet. All that is left is a burning city full of smoke and ruined buildings!
The Astra Millitarum were on the planet defending a hidden secret. Know by the Imperial Guard as The Scarg Guard, they had won many battles from their fortified defence platform, but the last battle against an Ork Horde had hit them hard and the Eldar proved too much for them when they struck.
The Eldar did not find the secret though! As before they could finish their search they were
unexpectedly over run by a surprise attack from a returned and much stronger Ork army. No one else really knows what secret lies on the planet, but the Orks are finding it hard to find it as they move in waves of green tides over the cities.
After such a big loss, the devastated Eldar had no choice but to turn to their Dark Kin for help. Although there is no trust for the Dark Eldar in general, the Webways have recently found a new sect of Dark Eldar called The Kazon Kabal. After much negotiation, the orange armoured Kazon have agreed to send out a small Raiding force to planet Scrag to scan the sector and to discover the secret hidden there...
Here is my first game with my new 7th Edition Flayed One list, and I happen to pull this army out on the same day my buddy was trying out the new Ork Codex for the first time. I really enjoy playing against Orks, they are so much fun, hopefully, you will enjoy the battle report too... Flayed Crons (7th Ed)

Here is the first Warboss I built and painted for my good buddy Aussie Ork. I
call this one 'Eldar Boss', as he has a dead Guardian in his claw and an Eldar
head on his poll. I really had fun painting these minis, and it was great to get some weathering and more free hand under my belt with the stripes. Next up will be the 'Nid Nob' I did for him!
Continuing on with the Ork Warbosses, and I have pretty much completed the Orks themselves. Just got the bases, the dead Nid and dead Eldar bitz to go and then I am all done. Considering these are my first ever Orks, I am happy with them, especially the skin, and I have to say, what great fun Ork's are to paint!
Here are a few progress pictures of the two Ork Warboss conversions I am painting up for my good buddy Aussie Ork. First I laid down the base coats and then washed the different sections with the appropriate washes......
I then went to work on the metal areas, bear in mind here, that these are my first ever Ork minis I have painted, and my first ever heavily weathered metal work. I thought I would take the learning curve one step further and try out the new Citadel Typhus Corrosion and Ryza Rust. With all that done and a bit of chipping work, I was very happy with the results. Next will be to work on the skin and highlight the other sections...
Right, onto the second conversion for my good buddy Aussie Ork, and this time I am working with a dead Nid. The Guant had a missing leg, so I did some green stuff work and added a bone and a flame to the flamer to try and make it look like he has just flamed the Nid. Hopefully this will look pretty cool when it's all painted up...
With all the Ork goings on lately, I managed to pick up a couple of AoBR Warboss models on Ebay. I wanted to convert and paint them up to give them to my good buddy Aussie Ork as a little gift. This is the first conversion, and this is the one I call the Eldar Boss, as he has a dead Guardian in his claw and an Eldar head on his poll. The second one will be a Nid Boss and I will show you that conversion in the next post...
