As I already use the old Zoanthropes model as Zoanthropes, it was pretty obvious how I was going to go about making a Doom of Malan'tai model! I had already bought and used, a metal version of the new Zoanthropes model for DoM, so this was going to be a nice, easy conversion. First, here is a picture of my Zoanthropes...
I never really liked the tail of the new Zoanthropes so that was my starting point. I cut off his tail and pinned on an old Gargoyle tail in it's place. From then on it was just a case of adding some unused Mawloc spines, gluing a coin under the base so that it didn't topple over, and then going back over it with a spray base coat of black ready for painting...

ReplyDeleteA guy at the gaming club that myself and Mercer go to runs DoM and doomyballs is an absolute pain to get rid of, he is a bit gimmicky but definately a cool, fun unit :)
