Pictures of my first interchangeable Trygon, Mawloc and Trygon Prime. I really enjoyed painting it up and I think it's my favourite Nid model so far! You can learn how to magnetise your own Trygon in this video I did if your interested...

Looking extremely nice there, the shine effect on the carapace works fantastically, and the small spots of pink fleshy bits add great contrasting elements. Fully magnetised too - neat!
ReplyDeleteThanks buddy, glad you like him
ReplyDeleteNick- this is a fantastic model! Not only is the paint scheme amazing, but I really like how you have managed to make good use of all the bitz that come in that box set! Really getting your money's worth from that kit. Cracking job, keep up the great work!
ReplyDeleteThanks mate, I really loved doing this model, any bitz I didn't use went on converting my Doom of Malan'tai, so yeah, like you say, I got my monies worth :D
ReplyDeleteNick, that is truly stunning! I really want to have a Trygon in my list and if he turns out half as good as yours then I'll be beyond happy. Good work sir :)
ReplyDeleteThanks so much :D, I have found one Trygon doesn't really do a great deal, he will usually die before he does anything regardless if you walk him or deep strike him. They work well when spammed out though, hence I have two more Trygons to paint =)
ReplyDeleteI would like to use two, the plan is to deep strike them behind enemy lines and have some hive guard utilise the tunnel :). Looking forward to seeing the three Trygons all finished :D
ReplyDeleteLooking great mate! Keep up the great work. :-)
ReplyDeleteThanks mate, weird how your comment doesn't show up on the main Blog? I can only see it if I click the link on the email I was sent!
