Nick speaking,
Oh dear, the new FAQ updates are now out and it looks like it's going to have to be Footdar all the way from now on. Please GW, leave us alone or give us a new Codex!
Q: The Farseer Psychic Powers rules state that they do not require the
Eldar Psyker to have line of sight to the target. Does this mean that they
can be used by an Eldar psyker embarked on a Transport? (p28)
A: No.

Mate I find Eldar really hard to play I never use mine come to think of it, I like the idea of them but they are hard to use and this sort of stuff sums up why! Agree mate with u
ReplyDeleteThey're 'avin' a larf, right?
ReplyDeleteRight?
Anyone?
I would be interested in your opinion on fielding Eldrad in a footdar army Nick. I am thinking of collecting footdar and want to include him but also want to run an Avatar and in order to keep fortune up on the avatar I need to move Eldrad into a midfield position. However since he isnt a CC character I think a 10 strong seer council would be wasted on him? But I was thinking of fortune on the avatar and his large seer council unit and them doom the prefered enemy unit of choice. What u think?
ReplyDeleteLike I care, stopped playing mech eldar in 6th, hull points ruined it, wraithwall works just fine for me.
ReplyDeleteSo a Farseer cannot cast Fortune from inside her tank?
ReplyDeleteI have been having some success in 6th with mech and mixed mech Eldar. However, I use FW wehn I can and often run with either a lone Autarch or a Farseer with just Eldritch Storm (to swap out for rulebook powers): http://tinyurl.com/b5cs3cc
Were people complaining? What seems to be the point of this nerf?
Your right, who even asked the question, and who in GW came up with the answer!
ReplyDeleteTechnically...
ReplyDeleteAll that FAQ excerpt states is that since the psychic power rules tells you that "they do not require the
Eldar Psyker to have line of sight to the target.". Then it asks the question "Does this mean that they
can be used by an Eldar psyker embarked on a Transport?" and the answer is "No".
It doesn't say that you can't. Just that that part of the psychic rules doesn't say you can. :)
Oh, how I wish this was just a very dry bit of British humor from GW. Still have my fingers crossed for a typo though.
lol Nice try =)
