Nick speaking,
I have been a busy boy with my painting recently, thanks to the new Necron flyer pushing it's way to the top of my painting list! I really enjoyed building and painting this model and hope that I did it justice with my painting. I think it matches into my Necron colour scheme very well, and as usual, I wanted to stick with the 'green rod' type painting for the guns. Overall I am very happy with how it turned out and I think the portal came out a treat...

Two weeks ago I showed you some 32mm scale miniatures. Lately I've been
painting not only fantasy heroes but also their enemies :) I don't know why

Very nice! Love the base too!
ReplyDeleteThanks Dimmy, I was trying to use the base to add a bit more 'colour' to the model, and with a base that big how could I not go to town on it :D
ReplyDeleteNice work, Nick. Really liking the extra detail on the base.
ReplyDeleteBtw, totally different subject, but that advert of mature singles is rank, lol.
looking good mate, I loved this model think its by far the nicest looking flyer have you seen the new battlestar? it reminds me of the Cylons! awesome show! byfar the best Sci fi show I have ever watched too!
ReplyDeleteLooks amazing mate, totally fits the theme of your army and it looks like those scarabs have got another use :-p, just a slight shame the rod seems to of clouded a bit a bottom because of the glue.. I have a storm raven waiting to be made/painted do you have any tips on trying to avoid that happening again?
ReplyDeleteLol, well at least you liked the mini if not the advert =)
ReplyDeleteThanks mate, glad you like it, yeah the base was annoying, I hate it when the glue 'burns' the plastic, but I wanted to make sure I had a good fixing with what was going on it. I must admit, I expected the rod to slot into the base, and was surprised to see it didn't! My only advice would be to use less glue!
ReplyDeleteCheers Dunk, I'm not listening mate, nothing will ever beat Star Trek for me! lol
ReplyDeletehey man amazing painting i recommend magnetising the base tho cuz then you can easily take it on and of for mare space and none of that burning bit but still turned out great and what base colour have you used
ReplyDeleteThanks, I only glued the stem to the base, not to the Flyer, sadly I used too much glue though. I do plan on getting a new stem for it at some point.
ReplyDeleteThe paint job was very easy to do, dry brush it Chainmail, then drybrush it Bultgun metal with a few Methril Silver highlights:D
