Nick speaking,
My Necron Power Station Generators are made from four Incredible toys that I got from
McDonald's about ten years ago! My original plan for them, before I put them onto this piece of terrain, was to use them individually on the table with some special rules taken from the back of the old old Necron Codex...
It's great to see Games Workshop upping the rule set on terrain recently, and this got me thinking about a long time idea I have had. Some sort of terrain that lets you teleport from one side of the board to the other! Now, as I magnetised the Generators to the Power Station, I thought these would be ideal to use as teleportation devices.
My original idea was to have two of these on the table, and anyone who goes next to one can teleport out of the second one the next turn, But what about if I put a points value on them and make them usable to my Necrons only? They could have the Deep Strike special rule, where you deploy one with your army, and the second one goes in reserve!
Obviously, you will need to get your gaming buddies to agree to this, and maybe help you set the points value for the terrain. I am thinking that one hundred points would be about right for mine, but what do you think? Any feedback and ideas welcome.
