The Webways are Opening! #8 Scourges and Hellions!

Back to Phase Two of my new Dark Eldar army that I am doing for the £25.00 Army Challenge. With £18.06 left, and a big need of some anti tank options for my army, I have been racking my brains as to what to do next! Ravagers and Scourges seem to be good options, but both are hard to find at a cheap price, so I came up with the idea of buying some cheap Wyches which no one seems to want these days, and making some wings for them out of plasticard!

Well, I ran the idea past one of my YouTube buddies that specialises in plastcard/styrene work, and during the conversation he said that he had some 'old' Scourges that he would be willing to send me for free! Seems like I struck gold again, as not only did he send me nine of the 'new' Scourges, but in the parcel were also five Hellions! A massive thank you to Kiblams for his generosity, and if you haven't heard of his YouTube Channel or Styrene based facebook page, please go and check them out for me!

A few repairs are needed, but now I really am on course for getting to two thousand points in phase two of the project!

Living Tomb Formation - Monolith Repaint

So yeah, in the end I decided I would repaint my old Monolith, I painted it a long time ago and not to a great standard. usually it wouldn't bother me, but as I am painting another Monolith for my Living Tomb Formation, I want the three tanks to all look the same!

The first job was to remove the green plastic pieces! I personally like them and didn't want to paint over them. To remove the green bits, I simple dropped some water on them to work the PVA glue loose. This only took ten minutes and I was then able to remove the green part with a knife very easily...

Although the paint job I did was poor, it wasn't thickly painted, so I didn't need to strip it, I just went over the tank with some black primer. All done ready for painting...

Next Painting Project: Necron Living Tomb Formation!

Finally, the Long Fangs are done and it is time to get my Living Tomb Formation up and running, not the best formation in the world, but hell, it looks like a lot of fun!

I already have one Monolith painted from way back, but to be honest, it isn't a very good paint job as I was very inexperienced in them days. I must admit, I am seriously considering repainting it, but either way, this is going to be a lot of fun, really can't wait to get stick into these bad boys! More to come soon...

Here is my first 13th Company Space Wolves Long Fangs all finished up. I am really happy how they came out and they will make a great addition to my army, which has been seriously lacking in long range fire support lately.
